The Recircle Awards, now in their third edition, will officially be launched at a special event at the Tyrexpo Asia exhibition in Singapore, at the Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Centre on Wednesday, the 8th March, between 17:00 and 19:00.

VM Rubber Expands Team

The Italian company had already hired a new person in 2021, Barbara, for the role of customer service and accounting and has just recently employed someone for production and logistics: Mirko.

VM has released a post stating that 2022 was yet a challenging but rewarding year to the point of making it necessary to expand their staff. Mirko has the tyre business running in the family. He comes from a couple of previous roles where he acquired skills in manufacturing and assembling and specific knowledge of tyre retreading products.

It has previously been reported that the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA) and the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCMC) had brought an action against the EU Commission before the European Court of Justice against the legality of the imposition of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on Chinese truck and bus tyres in 2018, which was upheld in some areas on 4 May 2022.

As a result, no import duties were imposed on Chinese truck/bus tyre imports from 9 July 2022, but the imports were registered…

This includes a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2050, which would entail improving Scope-1 and Scope-2 emission intensity by 25% by 2026 against the baseline year of 2020 and increasing renewable power as a share of total power usage to 25% by 2026.

Other commitments include improving water withdrawal intensity by 25% by 2026 against a baseline year of 2019, a commitment to improve D&I (Diversity and Inclusion) to 12% globally by 2026, and Increasing the usage of sustainable raw material to 40% by 2030.
